I am a BACP Integrative Child Counsellor and IFS therapist working in London schools. I help children with a range of difficulties express and explore their feelings through play, creativity, music and talking. I have worked in mainstream primary & secondary schools, with pupils with a range of issues, and I currently work in a special school where I implemented the therapy service. The majority of pupils have Autism or AD(H)D. Some are verbal, others not. Either way I I find they benefit enormously from this special time and I very feel honoured to witness those important shifts that make all the difference for my clients.
Children are very receptive to IFS Therapy, or parts work, so I incorporate that into my work explicitly when clients are receptive to this (e.g. they may draw pictures of their parts as they get to know them) or implicitly by looking out for their different parts and what triggers those.
Contact me if you would like to discuss my coming into your school on an ad-hoc or regular basis.
